Extra Resources from Weeks 1 & 2 - ECC

We have used a few extra resources the last couple of weeks that I will record here.  Most of these are Jonathan’s level, but as the weeks go by I will also record some of the extras for Jackson.  These resources go along with Weeks 1 and 2 - “Introduction” - My Father’s World - ExploringCountries and Cultures.

Starting Life Frog was a great book to go along with our readings about life cycles from Living World this past week.  Wonderful illustrations and a lot of information in a fun to read book.

The Habitats book and the Map Activities book are good resources to enhance some of the concepts from ECC.  We will use these 2 as well as Children Just Like Me throughout the year.  Each boy has their own Flags sticker book and they mark each country we study, even briefly through our other reading.  Just a way to keep track of “where we have been”.  And finally, PlanetEarth was a good overview book for our first week.
