Spring Fever

Wow - today was another day of unbelievable temperatures. (Remember this just a week ago?)  Well, today we got up to 66 degrees!!  The boys took full advantage of the nice weather.  What a great feeling to be able to just walk outside and play without having to put on all the snow gear.  :)  And we got to open all the windows and air out the house, as well.  I always feel better after airing the house out, especially when folks have been sick (like we were over the holidays).

We had a great day in school today - starting with a new curriculum.  I have seen so much growth in both boys this year....  I know that someday, looking back, this will be a tidewater year for us.  A year when a lot of things just clicked and worked and finally came to fruition.
This evening I was able to attend my small group Bible study again - after being AWOL most of the fall.  It was nice to get back there and I hope to be a more regular attender this semester.

I did make a new dish for dinner tonight (Saucy Pork Chops) and all but Jonathan really liked it - so we will probably see it again. (3 out of 4 isn’t bad)  Jonathan only likes “uncluttered” food, served very much separately with NO sauce of any kind!  :)  I can NEVER remember to take a picture of a recipe.  By the time I remember to get my camera, all we have left is dirty pans and crumbs.  Oh well - I will go ahead and post the recipe on the Recipes page.

Love the swing set picture!
I do the same thing with recipes and pictures - or worse, I take a picture of pieces of the recipe but not the finished product. Silly. Of course, some would say we're busy actually MAKING the meal and that's important. Ha!
