This Easter was a bit unusual for us, but it turned out to be a truly
wonderful, worshipful experience. Kerry, Rachel and Hannah had
to be on the road home Sunday morning and we were all trying to
figure out how to be together as a family, get to church, etc. Finally,
we made the family decision to stay home and have family worship
together. We all just felt strongly that we needed the time
together, especially following Junior’s funeral on Saturday.
So, we scratched the lunch plans for ham with all the fixings after church and instead had a big family breakfast of ham, eggs, blender pancakes and fruit early Sunday morning..... followed by scripture reading and hymn singing. I have to say it turned out to be a wonderful and meaningful Easter morning for all of us. We were able to be together, to worship, and also able to get Kerry and the girls safely on the road (although it was more like 11:30 when they actually got on the road!)

Juan was able to change his plans and join us as well.

Laura, the breakfast was fantastic! Thanks to you and Julie and Mother for doing that. It was a great way for the three of us Easter travelers not to feel left out, and to have a little more greatly appreciated family time, too. AND THE
SNOW!!! SNOW on EASTER SUNDAY!!! That was a special treat just for my sake, I believe...
Love, Kerry

Its so good to see you back at blogging! Sometimes a family needs the time together more than they need to "go to church", after all, if you are all Christian, you ARE the church.

Laura, what a sad month this has been for your family. What a blessing for Kerry,
Candace and family to be able to celebrate Easter with your family while they
continue to mourn. Meaningful and memorable for ALL of you...
