We have had a wonderful Christmas. We have been celebrating for days!
Kerry, Candace and the girls arrived the 23rd and we have been having lots of
celebration ever since. :) Rachel arrived with her own surprise.... she and
Stephen are engaged! Stephen came up on the 28th and we have been
enjoying getting to know him. He is a wonderful addition to our family.
Candace, Rachel and Hannah sang for Christmas Eve service. You can hear their beautiful Christmas medley by clicking here. (It is truly not to be missed...)
Jackson and Anna were supposed to acolyte, but Jackson was sick. He was able to attend the service, but he was coughing too much to acolyte. Thankfully, by Christmas Day he was feeling much better.
Christmas morning we awoke and opened presents here at our house, then went down to Mom and Dad’s for the rest of the day. I asked the boys if they liked their presents and was so gratified when Jonathan said, “Christmas isn’t about the presents you get, it is about being with the family you love.” That made this Mama’s heart melt. :) We are blessed beyond belief to have our extended family - to truly enjoy being together - to have the legacy of love that has been passed down from generation to generation.
Jonathan got a Pittsburgh Steelers uniform that he wanted. Jackson is loving his Annie Henry book and the Knifty Knitter set. He has already “set up shop” making and selling hats to friends and family. :) Looks like he has his Mom’s “entrepreneurial spirit”.
