Just some miscellaneous catching up here. We enjoyed another family dinner
with James. Jennifer came up and Maria also joined us. He has since
reported back to the Marines, but we just found out he will have a few days
leave for Christmas and will be back home with us!!! What a wonderful
surprise!!
Marvin enjoyed attending the Livestock Symposium - although his buddy, Chester, wasn’t able to join him due to the nasty weather. One highlight for Marvin was hearing Ken McNabb speak. Then, Marvin found himself standing next to Ken in line for lunch and they enjoyed a nice 20 minute visit. :)
Jennifer, Jackson and I enjoyed the annual Holiday Tour of Homes. It is sort of our tradition to attend this together each year and it was a special treat to be able to continue that again this year. Last year we had thought would be our last with Jennifer moving away. Luckily, she didn’t move so far away after all!
Mother, Jackson, Jonathan and I braved the cold night to attend The Nutcracker performance as part of the 2007 Lyceum schedule. It was well worth the effort!
We also enjoyed several Christmas programs at church - the Children’s program and then the Christmas Cantata (seen here).
Of course, it just wouldn’t be the same without my favorite concert of Christmas - the Community Christmas Concert. This year was especially delightful with the addition of the newly formed Community Orchestra. I neglected my duties and didn’t take a picture at the concert - so I will just share this picture of Rich, the director of the choir. :) He does an amazing job each and every year - and the Christmas concert always gets me in the Christmas spirit!!!
