Rubik's Cube Champ!

We had special dinner guests last night and it was a lovely evening. Juan and Axel came for a backyard barbecue and Ravi came later on to be the “entertainment”! :) (I’ll get to that in a minute....)

We met Juan through Jennifer when she lived here and he continues to be a good friend of our entire family. Juan is from Madrid, Spain. Axel came over, also - he is from Guatemala, but has been living in the states since 1994. He fit right in with our crazy bunch and we truly all had a wonderful evening of laughter and fun.

Somewhere during the evening Anna mentioned her friend, Ravi, who can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under 20 seconds. (Often under 15 seconds!) Juan just COULD NOT believe us! We showed him a video of Ravi from You Tube, but he WOULD NOT believe that Ravi could truly solve the cube so quickly. So, finally, Daddy and Anna went to town to pick up Ravi and bring him out to prove it! Sure enough, Ravi solved it in about 16 seconds. He can even juggle 3 balls while solving the cube one- handed! He can even solve it with his feet!!! (I promise, I am NOT kidding you!)

We got so tickled watching Juan watch Ravi - he was truly shocked and had to concede that we had in fact been right about Ravi. No tricks, just amazing!!! I think Juan is ready to take Ravi “on the road” and make a fortune! :)
