Jim and Linda joined us today for lunch at Mom and Dad’s. We ate the rest
of the pork steaks left over from the Nixon event on Friday. How is that for
a cheap, easy lunch to invite your preacher to? :) Jim was just impressed that
we served it on real dishes, not paper plates! :) Seriously, we had a wonderful
afternoon with these fine folks. They are very special to our entire family and
we always laugh a lot and enjoy our time together. We so appreciate these
special times with them.
As for the “trash across.... no time” thing.... Jackson and Jim enjoyed watching the Team Penning competition while we were at the MO State Fair and particularly got a kick out of the constant announcement of “trash across.... no time” whenever a calf crossed the line. It got to be rather funny after hours and hours of the same thing. So, they like to “reenact” that event now. Sort of their “code” words. :)
