Busy Week

I think the cold is really getting to me.  I seem to be so much slower this week, or at the very least, inefficient.  I am SO ready for spring!  We have had a good week so far - busy, but I guess not overly so.  I just can't quite get in the groove.  School is going well, the house desperately needs to be cleaned (fat chance!) and I need to get a handle on meal planning.  I guess 1 out of 3 ain't bad??  That is my story and I'm sticking to it!  :)

Mom and Dad will be back home from Mesa tonight.  We have missed them while they have been gone.  Life is changing with them again... Daddy just can't seem to stay retired.  :)  All is good, but I have to admit, it will take some getting used to.  We have all gotten so spoiled having them both here on the farm all the time - being able to see them each and every day.  But, I know that he is needed in town and he will be a healing presence.  We have to learn to share him and Mom again, I guess.  At least this time around it is more temporary.  (Spoken like a truly spoiled child, I know.)  

We are trying to figure out where we should go on vacation this year.  We did not get Silver Dollar City season passes this year in order to spend the money on a trip somewhere else.  That is still a good idea, but I have to admit, we all love SDC so much that we are already bemoaning the fact that we won't get to World Fest or Cowboy Fest this year.  However, we will enjoy wherever we finally decide to visit, I am sure.  We have to be able to camp wherever we go... in our camper.  (I am SO not a tent person.)  We are looking literally all over the country... east coast, midwest, western plains, southwest... What would you recommend?  Leave me a comment with your suggestions, please!  What have been your family's favorite vacation spots?  I think I am drawing comfort from looking up places online and thinking about warmer weather!  :)

Even though you didn't take my last suggestion (about your hairstyle), here goes again-- :)

My vote is Grand Canyon. I have relatives there, and the boys and I would like to drive out this summer. Mark will stay home and work (busy farming time). If you went about the same time, you could stop and bail me out if I have car trouble.

Sorry, but we're so not a vacationing family. I have no other suggestions.
