Random catching up

I am WAY behind around here..... and not just with this blog! :) I am realizing that when I miss long periods of time updating the blog that I truly do forget all the marvelous “little things” that make up each day. I so want to do better, even as the summer really gears up into hyper-busy mode. We’ll see how I do....

In the meantime, here is a completely random “catch-up” post to remind me of some of the highlights of the last couple weeks. Jackson ended his first summer tennis session by winning Consolation Champion in the tournament. He was quite happy with that placement and played well throughout.

Jonathan just loves tennis so much this year and is already talking about next year! He has made a terrific new friend from tennis as a bonus. Jonathan is not nearly as social as Jackson (understatement of the world, there....) and so this new friendship is a true blessing.  In fact, after he and Zack met, Jonathan came to me and said, "I think I've met 'my Adrian'."   Awwww!!

Of course, there is nothing like old buddies!!! :

I discovered that I am Mom to a really tough (but patriotic!) dude....

when your Marine cousin sends you authentic face paint!

(you have to realize that it was about 85 degrees out,
but Jonathan wants to have the “complete look”

Daddy and Marvin cut down the 3 old dead evergreens that (used to) line the driveway. It was quite a job as these trees were very large.

We enjoyed a visit with David B.

we said good-bye to Hannah

Anna got her learner's permit

Maybe now I am at a point where I can catch up..... we’ll see! :)

I can now read quickly but I can't comment without coming here so I'm going to use this spot to catch up on my comments! The museum looks awesome. I love Jackson's photo eye. Our summer is also in hyper drive.
