Ingenuity

At the end of the wedding day we moved on to tackle the job of loading the old Subaru Brat into the trailer Daddy towed down in order to take the Brat back to MO and get it fixed up and usable again.  We ladies were all intrigued by how this was going to go.  It seemed to us that it would be quite a trick to drive the Brat onto the trailer... and then get OUT since there would only be about 5 inches on either side of the doors once it was on the trailer.  The guys were sure it could be done. All it would take was a bit of ingenuity.  Of course, we didn't mention our concerns, did we?  Well... uh...

Anyway, the big joke was WHO could actually drive the stick shift AND be small enough to be able to get out of the vehicle once loaded.  Everyone determined Marvin was small enough, but that pesky problem of being legally blind might have made the loading part even more interesting.  Finally, Kerry roped in, I mean asked, a friend of his to give it a try.  We all gathered around with great anticipation...

Great job!!  You do realize you have to stay in there until we get back to Missouri, right?  Then you can drive it off the trailer for us and you'll be able to get out!  We didn't mention that??

Hmmmm... not much room, but I think his incentive is STRONG!!  :)

He made it!  Wise move, Kerry, having a great friend with a very pleasant disposition and a lack of excess body weight!  Impressive!

Following the Brat home... now who will help us unload it??

Side note... Kerry has requested that Daddy NOT have this dent removed.  You see, this is a lovely reminder of my dear hubby... this is an imprint of his backside.  :)  Made when he was trying to load the Brat onto the trailer when it was back at Willis Creek Ranch.  He had no idea that his backside could be so forceful!  But, there is the proof.  :)
