Barbecue

I'm only a week late getting this posted on the blog... :)  But we had the joy and honor of attending a "Welcome to town" BBQ for a lovely family that just moved here this summer.  You may remember that Renee and her kids came out to Willis Creek Ranch last spring to visit the horses.  We ended up getting to have lunch with them that day and just fell in love with them all!  Now, they have moved here to town (locating their DNA company here) and we are just thrilled.  Personally, I really look forward to getting to know Renee, and her sister Olivia, better over the next year.

There was a great crowd of folks at the BBQ - all wanting to welcome this family to town.  And of course, there was yummy food!  Blaine was the drillmaster extraordinaire and churned out dozens of hamburgers and hotdogs!  Others brought potluck - including this impressive number made by Tim and Adrian.  Way to go guys!!

Truly, it was a lovely day and many new friendships were forged.  Welcome to town Blaine, Renee, Jacob, Zach, Emma, Olivia, and Noah!  We are so glad you are here!

This was a wonderful afternoon! Everyone was so welcoming and brought such

amazing food. We are so fortunate to have "landed" in the community of Kirksville. Thanks to Laura's organizing skills as I have named her my "Social Director"!!

Debbie -It WAS a fun afternoon. :) I laughed when I saw all the kids shoes piled together at the top of the stairs.
