Saturday was fun for all around here.... Grandpa taught Hannah how
to drive a stick shift (using James truck) and Jonathan spent several
hours shooting off bottle rockets. What more could anyone ask
for? :)
Hannah did a terrific job of driving the stick shift - she just took right to it like an old pro. Watching her and Daddy go by, up and down on the driveway, made me think of how many of us have learned to drive out here - with Daddy patiently teaching every single one of us. It certainly goes back quite a few generations - and includes several cousins, etc!

Yeah, but Hannah will never have the thrill of taking her chauffeur's license test in
"The red truck that automatically honked when you turned the corner" so her
grandpa could always have someone in town who could drive more than 12 people in
the university van!
To this day, when I drive by the Armory, I still think about that...
