Summer Potluck

Last night we enjoyed a Summer Potluck Carry-In here at our house. It was a nice eclectic group.... lots of the “old” Bible study group :) and several great Tae Kwon Do folks among others. I completely meant to take photos of all the yummy food.... but I forgot. Phooey! It was all SO delicious! (You’ve got to love a potluck!) One dish, in particular, got a lot of attention.... the broccoli salad. Several of us ladies were in the house trying to figure out who had brought it so we could get the recipe. Finally someone said, “I think the guy in the red shirt made it.” I looked out the window and spotted Matt Matheney!!! We begged him for the recipe and I now have it posted here on the recipe blog. :)

The weather was beautiful for a backyard party - not too hot and a nice breeze. Until.... around 8:30 the bottom fell out and the rain began. We had been watching it form so weren’t taken completely by surprise.... but we did make a mad dash inside at that point. Several of the kids enjoyed the rest of the evening playing PIT (one of the worlds most fun games ever!!) and Charades while a few of us adults sat and visited some more.

Truly, it was a wonderful evening of fun, yummy food and fellowship. We were so pleased to see everyone and can’t wait to do it again sometime. :) Here are several pictures below.....
