What an honor to be a small part of a great program like Food 4 Kids. Our community comes together each summer to provide free lunches in each city park for anyone who wants to come. This is organized by several area churches (including our FUMC) and the Community Food Bank. It is very rewarding to meet the kids and families who come each day and get to know them a little better, and get to be of assistance by providing lunch. Times are hard for many - and this is just a drop in the bucket - but it is a good drop. This year we are having the highest numbers yet... about 1000 lunches served each week.
