We got back yesterday after having a wonderful weekend reunion
with Mom’s family in Springfield, IL. Aunt Aleta and Uncle Charlie
even came all the way up from the Mississippi gulf coast! Uncle
Dale and Aunt Joyce, plus Lyn and Stacy and their families all live in
Springfield and they hosted the event. Thank you SO much for
putting everything together for all of us!
On Friday, several of us went to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.... I posted about that here. Then on Saturday, Aunt Aleta, Uncle Dale and Mom spent some time together reminiscing. This was incredibly special for ALL of us. If you remember, this past spring Mom read Grandmother Brimer’s Memories of Wyoming book to the boys in school. At that time we decided it would be wonderful if we could get Mom’s siblings together to add their own personal memories and stories. So, on Saturday afternoon we all gathered together in our camper and videotaped the three of them reminiscing. We plan to put it all together in an updated version of the book Memories of Wyoming complete with some old photos. We hope to have it completed by Christmas.

[Just remember not to set the tapes next to the trash in the garage (remember what happened to some old cassette recordings we made?). Glad you have a good computer backup system.]
The curly horned cow clip is funny -- and it's of great quality! These tapes will be a treasure!
