Christmas 2008

We had a lovely Christmas with family - although less family than we are used to! Kerry, Candace, Hannah and Susanna arrived on Christmas Eve in time to head to church services. After church we gathered for a family dinner at Mom and Dad’s house. Christmas morning was spent at home with the boys unwrapping presents and doing final prep on my portion of Christmas dinner... then we loaded up and went (down the drive) to Mom and Dad’s house for the rest of Christmas Day. After opening of gifts and the big dinner, Grandpa pulled the kids on the sleds behind the truck. We knew we had better get that activity in quickly because rain and warmer temperatures were on their way. Christmas night we enjoyed a video chat with Julie, James and Anna from California where Julie and Anna were able to be with James for his 72 hour leave from the Marine base. It was sad to not be with them in person, but we are grateful for the amazing technology of video chats!!!! So much better than the telephone.

Stephen and Rachel drove up the Saturday after Christmas and were able to spend time with Candace’s family in Downing/Unionville before coming here this week to spend a few days. Jennifer will arrive New Year’s Day and we will have our 2nd family Christmas New Year’s Night with Julie & Anna back home, Rachel & Stephen, and Jennifer all here with us. We are looking forward to it!

I took way too many photos - below you can see a few of my favorites.
