We love to decorate for Christmas around here. Last year we barely got our tree up with all the ice storms and power outages we had, so this year we determined that we would put everything out. And I do mean everything! :) The boys were THRILLED and I have to say that I am really happy with it, too. I just won’t think about the work of putting it all away in January. (it is so much harder to get motivated to put it away, don’t you think?)
Jonathan and I got started on the tree early. He LOVES putting up ornaments and I basically let him have at it. I just kept the boxes coming to keep him supplied. :) Then Jackson joined us and the contest was on to see who could put the most icicles on the tree... and from how high!

Jonathan wanted to put the angel on the tree this year. He climbed up on the ladder while Dad kept a grip on him and he streeeettttccccchhheed and got it on there. Dad had to climb up and straighten it a bit, but Jonathan got it done.

It all looks BEAUTIFUL! Some years I have more energy than others to go all out decorting. This year was NOT one of those years.. sigh... it is SO much work to put it all away.

I know what you mean, Cynthia. This was the first year in a couple years that we have put everything out. We'll see how long I leave it up. :)

I agree - it's so much work! I have a Christmas village. Hubby gives me a new piece each year for my birthday. He's done this since we've been married which means I have 15 pieces. That means cleaning off a spot big enough for them (top of the ET center) - finding a new home for all that was there, arranging, setting up... He tells me he's going to build something for me when we have a new house. I told him great! I'm leaving them up ALL year round then! He thought I was joking. I wasn't. LOL I won't light them until after Thanksgiving but they are staying up! ;-)

This is beautiful, Laura! So festive. Does Santa dance?

Oh yes, Donna. Santa is quite the talented guy. He dances, he sings, he has a microphone attached so others can be his "voice" and make him talk (traumatizing poor Jennifer and Anna to no end!). :)

Laura, everything is beautiful, and I especially love the greenery all around your stairs. Your tree looks so pretty with the stair backdrop too. :)
