Pork Chops O'Brien

PORK CHOPS O’BRIEN
1 Tbsp. oil
6 pork chops
1 can cream of broccoli soup mixed with one can milk  (can use any “cream of” soup if needed)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teas. salt
1/2 teas. pepper
1 bag frozen hash browns, thawed
American cheese, shredded
1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Heat oil in skillet and brown pork chops on both sides.  Drain and set aside.  In large bowl combine cream of broccoli soup, sour cream, salt and pepper.  Mix well.  (If you need more moisture, add another can of soup like cream of mushroom, etc.)  Stir in hash browns, half of cheese and half of french fried onions.  Put into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.  Arrange chops on top.  Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until chops are about done.  Remove foil, sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions.  Bake uncovered 5 - 10 minutes more.

Shown here with pork chop laid to the side of the hash brown mixture -
but it was all cooked together.
