Saucy Pork Chops

Saucy Pork Chops
4 bone in pork loin chops (8 ounces each)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon hickory-flavored Liquid Smoke
(I also added about 1/4 cup molasses, about 2 tablespoons of worsteshire sauce and some onion flakes)

Sprinkle pork chops with garlic powder, salt and pepper.  In a large skillet, brown chops in oil on both sides; drain.  In a bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar and Liquid Smoke.  Pour half of the sauce into a 3 qt. slow cooker.  Top with pork chops and remaining sauce.  Cover and cook on low for 4 1/4 to 5 1/4 hours or until meat is tender.  Yield - 4 servings.

Note - I think you could 1/2 the sauce (or double the pork chops).  Also, I didn’t use a slow cooker, I just dumped everything (minus the oil) in my Pampered Chef stone bowl combo and cooked at 275 degrees for a couple hours.  We served this with rice, broccoli and salad.
